The Gasurveyor
400 family of portable gas detectors
represents a new generation of product from GMI. Developed from the
widely used Gasurveyor and Gascoseeker® range, it offers the user
accurate and reliable instrumentation using state of the art technology.
|
|
The Gasurveyor 400 offers the user a visual alarm, an 85 dBA
audio alarm, data logging, a real time clock and automatic data transfer
as standard. Alarm levels are present and when the alarms are 'on', a
periodic 'confidence' signal is emitted.
Toughness is built into the Gasurveyor 400. The display is
protected with toughened glass mounted on shock absorbing material, and
the sensors are protected from dust and water by membrane and cotton
filters. The instrument is designed to IP54 standard and the moulded,
carbon filled polypropylene casing eliminates any static risk and
maintains E.M.C. integrity.

Up to six gas ranges can be incorporated in one instrument
with the L.C.D. display showing the gas levels in both analogue and
digital forms. The internal microprocessor controls the display of
operational and status information, with the whole display being
back-lit in low light conditions.

Four push button switches access all the Gasurveyor 400
features making the instrument very easy to use. The GMI Instrument
Management System (I.M.S.) allows the customer to manage and control the
gas detectors ensuring that they are always working efficiently and to
specification.
The instruments are designed to the latest European Standards
and are certified for use in Hazardous Areas. Both rechargeable and dry
cell battery options are available.
With its internal, automatic pump ensuring that the gas is
drawn over the sensors, this breathing instrument weighs only 1.7kgs and
measures 180 x 95 x 105mm.
